The Oakland Raiders congratulate Angel on being the "Raiderette of the Week," sponsored by Bud Light. Angel is back for her fifth season with Football's Fabulous Females. Her favorite moments of the year have been cheering all season for sold out crowds at home games. "Hearing the loud cheer of 60,000 fans combined into one gets me pumped up," said Angel. "I love being able to look up and see every seat full as the fans join us in the 'Hell's Bells' clap during intros."
Angel enjoys participating in various appearances with the Raiderettes, including calendar signings. This season, she had the opportunity to meet her biggest fan. "I will never forget the young man I met at a calendar signing in Sacramento," said Angel. "He was six years old and his family is season ticket holders, but he never had the chance to meet his favorite Raiderette. His mom found out that his favorite Raiderette was coming to town. He came to the calendar signing I went to with a picture he drew and colored special for his Raiderette. Turned out that it was me and the picture he drew melted my heart."
Being able to put smiles on fans' faces is part of what drives Angel to keep coming back each season. "It's amazing to be able to have a great influence on people by doing what I love to do on the field each Sunday," she said.
Angel was named the Raiderette Dancer of the Year in 2008 and has been on multiple trips with the team. She traveled to Malaysia in 2009 to unveil a Raider-themed airplane on which she was prominently featured, Japan in 2010 to support U.S. troops during the Super Bowl, and Austria in 2011 to support the SWARCO Raiders in the Eurobowl.
