Anna Named Raiderette of the Week

!The Oakland Raiders congratulate Anna as the "Raiderette of the Week," sponsored by Bud Light. Anna is back for her fourth season with the Raiderettes. Her favorite part of game day is when the crowd goes wild, signaling that everything is about to begin. The player introductions, the National Anthem and the flyover are some of the things Anna looks forward to most at O.co Coliseum.

A Texas native, Anna has made it her mission to see as much of California as possible since she moved west. Her favorite place to visit is the beautiful Yosemite National Park for its waterfalls, hiking and kayaking.

Anna attended Texas State University and received her degree in Environmental Geography with a minor in Geology. One of the reasons the Raiderette veteran chose the major and minor was because of her love of the outdoors and the environment.

Anna does her best to live a green lifestyle. During her childhood in Texas, her family composted everything. She has continued this way of life and keeps compost at her home, staying as close to 100-percent not wasteful at her house as possible.

In addition to being green, Anna is involved in the arts. Recently, she has become involved in children's musical theater, helping the kids perform the production of Grease Lightning last year. Anna also loves to draw and paint and tries to pull out her paint box and charcoal pens when she has a free moment. Ultimately, she hopes to open a dance studio for kids.

One of Anna's favorite moments as a Raiderette was when she traveled to Japan's Yokosuka Naval Base with some of her teammates. She was able to visit with U.S. troops, bring them a piece of home and put smiles on their faces. She feels blessed to have been able to see the beauty of Japan and experience the culture.
