ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent K Matt McCrane, the club announced Wednesday.

McCrane, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound rookie kicker, enters his first season in the NFL after signing with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent following the conclusion of the 2018 NFL Draft. McCrane connected on all four of his field goal attempts in preseason action, including makes from 53- and 54-yards out, while also being true on all three PATs.

A native of Brownwood, Texas, McCrane was a three-time All-Big 12 performer at Kansas State, becoming the first kicker in school history with three all-conference honors. Over his four-year career, he made 57-of-66 field goal (88.4 percent) attempts and connected on 133-of-134 PATs. His 88.4 percent career average ranks second in Big 12 history and sixth in NCAA lore. McCrane's 304 career points placed him as the Wildcat's all-time scoring leader.

In a corresponding move, the Raiders have placed K Mike Nugent on the Reserve/Injured List.
