- The highlight of the day belonged to James Jones, who was able to adjust to a ball thrown from Derek Carr into double-coverage and come down with the pass in traffic.
- Greg Little once again found himself consistently near the ball during practice and had an impressive sideline grab he hauled in from Matt McGloin.
- The team put the pads on for the first time on Sunday, and during the pass protection drill, David Ausberry was able to stonewall rookie Khalil Mack and prevent him from reaching the target.
- Rookie Jonathan Dowling provided a top defensive highlight when he picked off a ball from Matt McGloin that was intended for Mike Davis.
- Matt Schaub showed off his mobility when he escaped a collapsed pocket and found Greg Little for a nice gain.
