- During the red zone portion of practice Matt Schaub rolled out of the pocket and threw a pass to Marcel Reece who caught the ball in stride and glided into the end zone.
- Derek Carr also found success during the red zone drills as he bought some time with his legs and found a diving Scott Simonson in the back of the end zone for the score.
- George Atkinson III was impressive during the kick return portion of practice, showing good speed and the ability to make defenders miss.
- As the team began their scripted scrimmage, Maurice Jones-Drew found a nice hole on the right side of the offensive line and made a crisp cut to break into the defensive secondary.
- Keith McGill provided the defensive highlight of the afternoon when he stepped in front of a Matt Schaub pass and took it back to the house.
