Raiders 2026 Mock Draft Tracker 2.0

26_Mock-Draft-Web_v2

Each week leading up to the NFL Draft, Raiders.com will compile the latest mock drafts from top analysts and take a look at who they're predicting the Silver and Black will select with the No. 1 overall pick.

Here's the media's early predictions fresh off Super Bowl LX.

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "The Raiders have their coach and now they have their quarterback. I like the marriage between Mendoza's skill set and Klint Kubiak's scheme."

Date: Feb. 17

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "There is only one quarterback worthy of consideration at No. 1 overall. There is some thought to trading the pick to acquire additional assets, build the roster and plug in a quarterback later. However, Las Vegas also recognizes the difficulty other teams have had identifying the right quarterback and getting into position to add that player. Take the shot when it comes open. Mendoza played in a less-than-ideal situation at California before thriving at Indiana. His accuracy will give Las Vegas' receivers a chance until that room gets reconstructed.

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "At this point, there is little debate about whether the Raiders will use the No. 1 overall pick on Mendoza. The Indiana quarterback posted a 5.7% big-time throw rate and a 2.6% turnover-worthy play rate in 2025, helping him earn a 91.6 PFF overall grade for the season."

Date: Feb. 16

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Barring a team offering the largest trade compensation EVER for the No. 1 overall pick, I can't see the Raiders passing up a chance to escape the quarterback wilderness."

Date: Feb. 12

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "As the Raiders embark upon a new era with Klint Kubiak at head coach, Mendoza is the ideal partner to pair with him. He had a remarkable season in 2025, displaying elite accuracy and overall arm talent to throw to all levels of the field. He improved his pocket awareness and was fantastic in clutch moments, leading the Hoosiers to their first undefeated record and a national championship. Mendoza brings a strong frame and in-pocket mobility with enough creativity to handle duress out of structure. And his quick-processing skills point to a successful starting NFL QB."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "This pick feels like an intriguing pairing with new head coach Klint Kubiak. Mendoza is a clean operator whose sheer professionalism could lift the floor up for a franchise that's been in the doldrums for oh so long. Mendoza is accurate, has good size, moves well in the pocket, and constantly finds the right answer from the pocket (he's already a standout in situations like third down, the red zone and two-minute drives). He's not an overwhelming athlete, but can create and scramble for yards when things go astray.

The Raiders' offensive line needs a lot of work, but Las Vegas has an interesting collection of young skill players (Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, I'd even include Tre Tucker here) that would give Mendoza some immediate options as he starts in the NFL. Mendoza's game, work ethic and intelligence should help make his transition to the NFL not quite as daunting (more under center work notwithstanding) when compared to others jumping from a shotgun-heavy college offense. He's exactly what the silver and black need."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "This draft's clear QB1 in just about every area, Mendoza doesn't really have holes in his game so much as roughish edges in need of further smoothing. Add in the level of improvement he showed year over year and it's easy to see a successful future starter, so long as Tom Brady, Mark Davis and the Raiders can support him."

Date: Feb. 9

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "This shouldn't be a hard decision for the Raiders as they select what they hope is finally their long-term answer at quarterback. Mendoza is a good fit for Klint Kubiak, where he can attack down the field off of play action."

Date: Feb. 9

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Mendoza is a poised, accurate passer who has plus arm talent, consistently delivering catchable balls on time and in rhythm and excelling on layered second-level routes. He shows NFL-level field vision and coverage recognition, consistently ripping throws with anticipation. While not a true creator, Mendoza navigates collapsing pockets effectively and can make accurate off-platform throws, showing a calm, efficient style reminiscent of Jared Goff."

Date: Feb. 9

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "This one looks all but done at this point. The pairing of Mendoza with Klint Kubiak feels like a perfect match. That's because Mendoza is willing to consistently attack the intermediate area of the field where Kubiak's offense loves to operate. Now all they need are more weapons at receiver to get open at that level outside of Brock Bowers."

Date: Feb. 9

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Mendoza would be the third quarterback (following Cam Newton and Joe Burrow) to win the Heisman Trophy and college football national championship and then hear his name called as the NFL draft's No. 1 overall pick within a 12-month span. I give Mendoza above-average grades on his physical attributes, but his intelligence and mental toughness are what make him the top prospect at his position."
