Raiders 2026 Mock Draft Tracker 1.0

26_Mock-Draft-Web_v1

Each week leading up to the NFL Draft, Raiders.com will compile the latest mock drafts from top analysts and take a look at who they're predicting the Silver and Black will select with the No. 1 overall pick.

Without further ado, let's dive into the media's early predictions for the first round.

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "I feel more confident Mendoza will go first overall than I do that he'll be a Raider. It's early in the evaluation process, but on the field, talent-wise, the distance between Mendoza and the next QB in this year's class in my model was the biggest I've seen in at least the past eight seasons (since I have modeled in the way I do now). Given the amount of cap space AND needs that the Raiders have, the franchise might be better off trying to trade the pick for a huge haul. Given the market-resetting trade the Colts offered the Jets to acquire CB Sauce Gardner, can you imagine what might be possible for a 1.01 QB now? If a bounty like that is out there, it's at least worth the Raiders' consideration."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "This is a very easy decision for the Raiders -- draft the quarterback. The Geno Smith trade did not work out, and the 2026 class features only one passer with a first-round grade. My No. 4 overall player, Mendoza gives the Raiders a franchise-caliber quarterback with excellent poise, decision-making, accuracy and toughness both in and out of the pocket, which he showed in winning the Heisman Trophy and leading Indiana to the national championship."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Ultra-accurate quarterback who is able to pick apart defenses -- provided he gets proper protection."

Date: Feb. 2

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "We don't yet know who the Raiders' coach will be, yet this pick feels about as locked as it could be. Mendoza might never be a superstar, but his toughness, poise and accuracy could make this offense go, along with Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "The Raiders ranked last in total offense this season. They not only need a quality quarterback, but also a franchise game changer. Enter Mendoza, who blends the requisite rocket arm with every positive intangible teams desire. Don't mistake his unbridled optimism for weakness — he's as tough as any quarterback in the game."

Date: Jan. 29

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "The Raiders begin another new era with the Heisman Trophy winner/national champion installed at quarterback. As a classic dropback passer with a winning pedigree, Mendoza is the perfect fit for Tom Brady and the rest of the brass in Vegas."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "This feels like a no-brainer for the Raiders, who add a potential franchise pillar in Mendoza. The Heisman winner is cool as a cucumber under pressure, throws with accuracy and touch, and, perhaps most importantly for Las Vegas, has shown he is capable of elevating a downtrodden program to never-before-seen heights."

Date: Jan. 28

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Mendoza clearly distanced himself from the rest of the field at quarterback this past season, culminating in Indiana's first ever national title. With 39 touchdowns and no interceptions in the red zone since 2024, the Heisman Trophy winner offers the kind of rare production the Raiders can't pass up."

Date: Jan. 26

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Las Vegas resets at the quarterback position by selecting Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza. Mendoza capped off his incredible Heisman-winning campaign with a national championship victory over the Miami Hurricanes. He finished the 2025 college season with a 90.7 passing grade that ties him for second among qualified FBS quarterbacks."

Date: Jan. 26

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Mendoza transferred to the Hoosiers from Cal and immediately leveled up, throwing 41 touchdown passes and just six interceptions in 2025. I see great ball placement on the tape, and he's a no-brainer to begin Round 1. Las Vegas could start to build something offensively here with Mendoza, running back Ashton Jeanty and tight end Brock Bowers."

Date: Jan. 21

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Though he might not be the physical freak some desire in a No. 1 pick, Mendoza is impressive in two key areas of playing the position: pre-snap recognition and accuracy. I don't think there is much mystery with this pick."
