Raiders 2026 Mock Draft Tracker 3.0

26_Mock-Draft-Web_v3

Each week leading up to the NFL Draft, Raiders.com will compile the latest mock drafts from top analysts and take a look at who they're predicting the Silver and Black will select with the No. 1 overall pick.

Here's what the experts are predicting ahead of the Scouting Combine.

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "I won't waste a lot of time here: Mendoza to the Raiders seems pretty obvious at this point. The Geno Smith trade didn't solve the post-Derek Carr quarterback problem in Las Vegas, and new coach Klint Kubiak will want a signal-caller to build his offense around. Mendoza is the No. 1 prospect on my board and far and away the best QB in the class. He is competitive and precise with his ball location."

Date: Feb. 24

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Fernando Mendoza (6'5/225) put together a Heisman-winning campaign, completing 72.3% of his passes for 3,349 yards with a 41–6 TD-INT ratio while posting an elite 9.5 yards per attempt and an 89.5 Total QBR. He was especially lethal when kept clean, completing 78.1% of his throws for 9.9 yards per attempt with a 92.7 offensive grade, though his efficiency understandably dipped under pressure where his completion rate fell to 51.3%. Conceptually, Mendoza thrived inside structure, producing 31 touchdowns and a 10.3 YPA on non-play-action throws. Mendoza will almost assuredly be the 1st player taken in the 2026 NFL Draft and is a better prospect than 2025 #1 overall pick, QB Cam Ward in my opinion."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "It seems to be a formality at this point that the Raiders will select Mendoza as their new franchise quarterback. The Heisman Trophy winner ranked second in the FBS with a 90.7 PFF passing grade in 2025, whereas Las Vegas ranked 28th in the NFL in team PFF passing grade."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "The Raiders are on the clock and need help across the board, but quarterback is the first order of business. Fernando Mendoza capped an impressive season with a national championship in Indiana's RPO-based offense and a strong postseason run that showcased his consistency and clutch throws in gotta-have-it moments. Mendoza makes smart decisions, throws with accuracy and touch, and creates and extends plays outside the pocket and under duress. He's a high-level processor who reads defenses quickly and anticipates windows to deliver advantage throws that move the chains."

Date: Feb. 23

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Since the start of the common draft era back in 1967, just two players have received the Heisman Trophy, won a national title and been selected No. 1 overall in the ensuing offseason: Cam Newton and Joe Burrow. Mendoza is about to join the club. Not only is he the clear QB1 in this class, but he feels like a fit with these Raiders. Mendoza's maniacal obsession with the game will undoubtedly endear him to Tom Brady, and the 6-foot-5, 225-pounder's skill set seems like it'll play in Klint Kubiak's scheme."

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "No surprise here. The Raiders take the Heisman Trophy-winning national champion to begin anew at quarterback."

Date: Feb. 19

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "Geno Smith is 35 years old and coming off a season in which he threw 17 interceptions to just 19 touchdowns. Mendoza has exhibited all the tools you want to see in a top QB prospect: elite arm strength, the ability to throw into tight windows, and sneaky mobility for a 6-foot-5 signal caller. The Heisman winner leads all of FBS with 41 passing touchdowns this season, which is also the Indiana single-season record. He's a near lock to be a Raider."

Date: Feb. 19

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "This pick feels like an intriguing pairing with new head coach Klint Kubiak. Mendoza is a clean operator whose sheer professionalism could lift the floor up for a franchise that's been in the doldrums for oh so long. Mendoza is accurate, has good size, moves well in the pocket, and constantly finds the right answer from the pocket (he's already a standout in situations like third down, the red zone and two-minute drives). He's not an overwhelming athlete, but can create and scramble for yards when things go astray."

Date: Feb. 19

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "After fielding some trade offers, nothing came close to moving me. The Raiders have to finally take a quarterback in the first round, something they haven't done since JaMarcus Russell. Mendoza projects as a great fit in Klint Kubiak's offense and, hopefully, signals a new era of stability for this franchise."

Date: Feb. 19

Pick: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Analysis: "I have no doubt that Fernando Mendoza is the best available QB in this class, and until there are signals otherwise, there's no reason not to have him going No. 1 to a Raiders team desperate for a QB. Still, while I like Mendoza a lot and love some of his intangibles, I'm not convinced he's a franchise guy at the NFL level."
