AquĂ hay un hombre que tiene una gran oportunidad, al igual que yo, y la estĂĄ aprovechando, y esta noche estĂĄ del lado ganador".
A pesar de tener cuatro series ofensivas mas en este partido, el ataque negro y plata no volvió a meterse a las diagonales, pero eso no significó que los Raiders no pusieron mås puntos en la pizarra, ya que la defensa se encargó de ello. Primero con los Raiders forzando su cuarto balón suelto del partido, el cual se dio por conducto de una captura de mariscal de campo de Malcolm Koonce, su segundo 'strip-sack' del juego, el cual fue recuperado por John Jenkins y regresado 44 yardas hasta la zona de anotación. Dos jugadas después, el esquinero Jack Jones logró leer a la perfección un pase pantalla de Easton Stick hacia Austin Ekeler y brincó la ruta para con una mano interceptar el ovoide y llevårselo 22 yardas para el 'pick-6' con el que los Raiders anotaron la mayor cantidad de puntos en la historia de la franquicia, superando por primera vez la barrera de las 60 unidades en el marcador.
"No podĂa dejar que se me escapara esta vez", aseverĂł Jones tras estar cerca de interceptar a Joshua Dobbs de Minnesota el domingo. "La semana pasada estuve tal vez a un paso de conseguirlo. Esta semana tuve que afinar todas mis tĂ©cnicas y todo lo que tenĂa que hacer para lograr esa jugada. Conseguir el pick-6 estĂĄ bien, pero quiero ganar. Ganar se siente mucho mejor. EstĂĄbamos pateando trasero en el campo".
La blanqueada ante Minnesota sin duda alguna doliĂł y pegĂł duro en el equipo, pero siempre predican la regla de las 24 horas, donde puedes celebrar un triunfo o estar decepcionado con un descalabro por ese lapso de tiempo, cuando expiran esas 24 horas es el comenzar la preparaciĂłn para el siguiente partido y buscar el objetivo de terminar 1-0 esa semana. Los Raiders hicieron eso con un reto enorme de tener una semana corta, con solo tres dĂas entre dĂas de partido y lo dieron todo sobre el emparrillado en las tres fases del juego ante los Cargadores.
"TenĂamos mucho que demostrarnos a nosotros mismos", dijo el receptor abierto Davante Adams. "No tenĂa nada que ver con ninguna de las cosas externas.
