Fue benéfico, porque practicamos arrancando profundo en el campo (en los entrenamientos), pero el hacerlo en un ambiente de juego como visitantes donde hubo mucho ruido y tuvimos que hacer conteo en silencio una buena cantidad de veces. Definitivamente, fue un buen trabajo para nosotros.".
O'Connell completó 7 de 9 pases para 76 yardas, incluyendo conexiones con Jakobi Meyers (3 recepciones, 45 yardas), y las alas cerradas Brock Bowers (2 recepciones, 25 yardas) y Michael Mayer (1 recepción, 7 yardas). "Honestamente, pienso que competimos", dijo el entrenador en jefe Antonio Pierce. "Le pedí a los jugadores competir, ser físicos y demostrarme esfuerzo. Pero el esfuerzo estuvo ahí hasta el final, los chicos pelearon y todo se definió con un gol de campo (con el reloj agotándose). Pero lo que verdaderamente me gustó fue cómo el equipo lo hizo todo junto. No sé si vieron, pero tras una intercepción, captura, bloqueando una patada, (después de esas jugadas) había 50 o 60 Raiders corriendo en el campo para celebrar tanto para los chicos grandes y los jóvenes. Hablamos de ello, el apoyar a sus compañeros, especialmente en la pretemporada, donde algunos jugadores salen del juego y no están poniendo atención".
El equipo ha regresado a Las Vegas para desarrollar cinco sesiones de práctica y sus últimos dos partidos de pretemporada previo a concluir su campo de entrenamiento, tras el cual vendrá el recorte de la plantilla a 53 jugadores y el enfocarse al 100% hacia su duelo de la semana uno ante los Cargadores en Los Ángeles.
