HENDERSON, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed S Jamal Adams, WR Phillip Dorsett II, G Atonio Mafi, WR Seth Williams and S JT Woods, the team announced Tuesday.
Adams joins the Silver and Black for his ninth NFL season, coming off of a 2024 campaign where he split time with the Tennessee Titans and the Detroit Lions, playing in a total of five games (three starts). The 6-1, 213-pound safety entered the league as the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the New York Jets, where he spent the first three years of his career before being traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2020. Over his eight years in the league, Adams has played in 85 career games (83 starts), totaling 500 tackles (366 solo), 21.5 sacks, 50 tackles for loss, 42 quarterback hits, four interceptions (one returned for a TD), 36 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. Since entering the league in 2017, Adams leads all defensive backs in the NFL in sacks (21.5) and ranks second in the league in tackles for loss (50) over that span.
Dorsett II, an eighth-year veteran wide receiver, joins the Raiders after spending the last season as a member of the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad. The 5-10, 185-pound receiver initially entered the league as a first-round pick (29th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts and has played in 94 career games (20 starts) with the Colts (2015-16), New England Patriots (2017-19), Seattle Seahawks (2021), Jacksonville Jaguars (2021), Houston Texans (2021-22) and Denver Broncos (2023), totaling 151 catches for 2,001 yards (13.3 avg.) and 12 touchdowns, along with 14 rushes for 84 yards (6.0 avg.).
Mafi comes to the Silver and Black after a 2024 season with the Indianapolis Colts, where he began the season on the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster. The 6-3, 330-pound guard out of UCLA has played in 20 career games (five starts) with the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts since entering the NFL as a fifth-round pick (144th overall) by the New England Patriots in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Williams, a 6-3, 211-pound receiver out of Auburn, joins the Silver and Black in 2025 after spending a portion of last season on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. Since entering the league as a sixth-round pick (219th overall) by the Denver Broncos in the 2021 NFL Draft, Williams has played in two career games (one start) and spent time with the Broncos (2021-22), Jacksonville Jaguars (2022-24) and Dallas Cowboys (2024).
Woods, a second-year defensive back, joins the Silver and Black after a 2024 season where he spent time on the practice squads of the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears. The 6-2, 193-pound safety entered the NFL as a third-round pick (79th overall) by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2022 NFL Draft, and since then has played in 13 career games (one start) – all with the Chargers, totaling eight tackles (seven solo).
In corresponding moves, the Raiders waived CB Mello Dotson, WR Zakhari Franklin, WR Key'Shawn Smith and LB Jailin Walker.
