This past weekend Oakland Raiders Legend Kenny Shedd and the Raiderettes - Football's Fabulous Females - greeted and cheered on men, women, and children of all ages at the finish line of the 5th Annual Oakland Running Festival. The race which started and finished at Snow Park in Downtown Oakland highlighted an eventful weekend for participants of the festival which was voted in Competitor Magazine Best Marathon in the Pacific West for 2013.
The festival, which consisted of a full marathon, half marathon, 5k, Team Relay Race, and Kids Fun Run had over 10,000 participants and runners of all skill levels.
The Oakland Raiders are also excited to announce, in conjunction with organizers of the Oakland Running Festival to bring the Raider Nation the 2nd Annual Oakland Raiders Back to Football Run.
The Back to Football Run celebrates the return of football and allows Raiders fans and running enthusiasts a unique experience to start the race on the same field that Raider Legends have played on.
The Raiders Back to Football Run (Date TBA in April) package includes:
- Registration into the Back to Football 5K
- Commemorative T-Shirt
- One Seat to a Raiders home game
