Un castigo por interferencia de pase en contra de Oakland llevĂł a los Chargers hasta su yarda 40 y dos jugadas despuĂ©s un pase de 17 yardas los dejĂł dentro de territorio enemigo. Tres jugadas despuĂ©s ya se encontraban en la yarda 11 de los Raiders. Otro castigo por interferencia de pase en contra de Oakland dejĂł a los Chargers en la yarda uno al llegar la pausa de los dos minutos previo al medio tiempo. El punto extra fue bueno y Oakland retomĂł la ventaja, 14-7 faltando ocho segundos por jugar en el cuarto.

La patada inicial de la segunda mitad resultó en un touchback por lo que Oakland tomó posesión del balón en su yarda 25. Al cabo de cuatro jugadas ya se encontraban en territorio de los Chargers. Gruden optó por reestablecer el ataque terrestre para controlar el reloj y combinando a DeAndre Washington con Jalen Richard acarreando el balón llegaron hasta 11 de los Chargers después de consumir ocho minutos del tercer cuarto. Dos jugadas después Washington anotó en un acarreo de cinco yardas. El punto extra fue bueno y los Raiders aumentaron su ventaja a 21-7 con 6:11 por jugar en el tercer cuarto.

La patada de reinicio resultĂł en otro touchback y Los Ăngeles iniciaron en su yarda 25. Pase de 20 yardas de Rivers los puso en su yarda 45 pero en la siguiente jugada el novato Clelin Ferrell los retrasĂł 14 yardas y con ello jugadas despuĂ©s tuvieron que despejar el balĂłn.
Oakland retomĂł posesiĂłn en su yarda 32 despuĂ©s de la devoluciĂłn del despeje y logrĂł llegar a medio campo antes de despejar el balĂłn con 3:40 por jugar en el partido dejando a los Chargers en su yarda 10 por recepciĂłn libre. Rivers abandonĂł el ataque terrestre y completĂł 7 pases de 8 intentos para 76 yardas antes de la pausa de los dos minutos. Un castigo por fuera de lugar en la primera jugada despuĂ©s de la pausa dejĂł a los en la yarda nueve de los Raiders con primera y gol. A pesar de eso, Rivers lanzĂł tres pases incompletos y Los Ăngeles se tuvieron que conformar con un gol de campo de 27 yardas para acercarse en el marcador, 24-17, faltando 1:29 por jugar. La patada corta fue recuperada por los Raiders en la yarda 49 de los Chargers.
