HENDERSON, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed sixth-round draft pick DT JJ Pegues, the club announced Thursday.
The 6-foot-2, 309-pound defensive tackle was selected with the 180th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons at Auburn (2020-21) before transferring to Ole Miss for the final three seasons of his college career (2022-24), appearing in 62 career games with 25 starts and totaling 126 tackles (62 solo), 28.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, six passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He also played on offense and registered 100 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 31 carries, while adding eight receptions for 58 yards and one touchdown.
In 2024, he was named All-SEC Third Team after playing in 13 games with 11 starts and recording 42 tackles (18), 13.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed. On offense, Pegues rushed 21 times for 69 yards and seven touchdowns, finishing second on the team in rushing touchdowns.
A native of Oxford, Miss., Pegues attended Oxford High School where he led his school to the Class 6A state championship as a senior and was named an Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game honoree.
With the 180th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have selected Ole Miss defensive tackle JJ Pegues.
