By the Numbers: The digits behind the Raiders' 2024 schedule

The energy among Raider Nation is high following the release of the 2024 schedule last Wednesday.

The Silver and Black will have eight home games in Allegiant Stadium and nine contests on the road, traveling over 20,000 miles over the course of the season. With a new head coach, staff and roster heading into the year, here are some numbers that tell the story of the Raiders' upcoming schedule.

In their nine away games this season, the Las Vegas Raiders will travel a total of 23,345 air miles across 34 time zones. It's the second-most time zones for any NFL team to travel through this season.

This is one of the more obvious numbers to remember going into the 2024 season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers. The last time these two teams faced, the Raiders scored a franchise-record 63 points against their divisional rivals.

The Silver and Black will play the entirety of the AFC North this season, which is arguably one of the best in the league after last year. The division consisting of the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals combined for a win percentage of 63.24% in 2023, the best in the NFL. Additionally, it was the only division in the league in which every team finished with a winning record.

The Raiders have two primetime games this season. First, they travel to Arrowhead Stadium in Week 13 for a Black Friday matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs which will be aired on Prime Video. Then, they'll host the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football in Week 15. This is also the second consecutive season the Raiders face the Chiefs in a "holiday" game, defeating them 20-14 on Christmas Day last year.

A whopping seven teams that reached the playoffs in 2023 are on the Raiders' schedule. This ties the franchise's record of most previous-year playoff teams as opponents in a single season (2021 - seven teams).

The Raiders open and close their regular season against the Los Angeles Chargers, making this the 14th consecutive season the Raiders' season finale has been against an AFC West opponent. In their 2023 season closer, the Silver and Black defeated the Denver Broncos 27-14, which was also the Raiders' eighth straight win against them.

Take a look at when and where the Las Vegas Raiders will face their opponents for this upcoming season.
