The Las Vegas Raiders were able to show their passion and advocacy for children's health in Nevada, while honoring patients, with specially designed cleats and footwear. The cleats were showcased during this past Sunday game.

Elandon Roberts, Raiders' linebacker, designed special cleats with local pediatric patient, Isaak Gavin-Oddieo, 11-years-old, from Las Vegas. Gavin-Oddieo is battling Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer, who suffered a minor injury a few months back that led to the life-altering diagnosis.

Since March, Isaak has faced intensive chemotherapy and is preparing for an allograft surgery to replace part of his femur with donor bone — giving him the chance to keep his leg and return to the activities he loves.

Sandra Douglass Morgan, Raiders' president, also showed her appreciation for Intermountain Children's Health by designing sneakers with 7-year-old Intermountain pediatric cancer warrior, Evelyn Lackey, from Las Vegas. The cleats highlighted Intermountain Health and Lackey's personal touch of dragons and flowers.

"My Cause My Cleats is an opportunity to shine a light on causes that matter deeply to our community, and this year I'm proud to support Intermountain Health's efforts to build a standalone children's hospital in Nevada. This is about giving our kids hope, healing, and a future they can grow into," said Sandra Douglass Morgan.

Lackey is a brain cancer survivor and a former patient at Intermountain Health Primary Children's Hospital. She is a joyful, energetic, and well-traveled little girl who loves to dance and perform.

Recently, Lackey helped raise several thousand dollars at her lemonade stand with help from neighbors and the Raiderettes, learning the joy of giving back and the value of community.

Intermountain Health's region president, Mitch Cloward, also collaborated with one of the Raiders toughest fans, 14-year-old, Aiden Woodward, in creating custom Intermountain Children's Health sneakers.

Woodward, a competitive baseball player and Las Vegas native, was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called DVA (developmental venous anomaly) almost 2 years ago.

The condition causes a large and abnormal vein that takes up space where his brain needs to accompany. Woodward continues to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for testing and monitoring and is currently living a normal teenage life.

"The strength of the patients cannot be understated," said Mitch Cloward. "I am proud to be invited to honor them through the My Cleats, My Cause work. I hope they can convey the message of hope and the vision of a promising future."

The cleats and sneakers will be auctioned off during the 2025 Festival of Trees in Salt Lake City, Utah, from December 2-6, 2025. Funds raised will help build Nevada's first stand-alone Children's Hospital, bringing access to world-class pediatric care in the heart of Las Vegas.

Intermountain's children's hospital in Nevada is projected to be finished in 2030 and will include comprehensive cancer care.

Intermountain Health is the official health partner for the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders partnered with Intermountain Health to have Intermountain Children's Health patients design shoes for the My Cause My Cleats initiative.
