August 14

It was a hot morning in Henderson, Nevada, but that didn't stop the players or the fans from bringing the energy to the last open public practice for this training camp. With the 49ers at Raiders HQ for joint practice, both teams settled in quickly. The Raiders offense started a bit slow against the 49ers defense, but soon got in a rhythm, with Geno Smith looking to Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers often. On the other side, Maxx Crosby paced the Raiders defense in constantly applying pressure and getting to the quarterback.

"I know everybody worked hard," Pete Carroll said post-practice. "It was great to get against these guys. They're skilled and they do a lot of cool things scheme-wise, attacks up and helps us learn. It was a totally positive experience."

August 13

It was a non-padded practice Wednesday as the Raiders gear up for the physicality of facing the 49ers in joint practice tomorrow.

A huge play on the day was Geno Smith finding Tre Tucker for a 60-yard touchdown. Additionally, many players who are fighting for roster spots were mixed in for first-team reps, including receivers Collin Johnson and Alex Bachman.

"I'm not a finished product, and I have a long way to go," Johnson said Tuesday, "but each and every day, I'm blessed getting out of bed and playing for the best organization ever and playing the best sport ever. So that's kind of my mindset, and I'm super thankful to be here."

"We had a really good, hard-hitting day, and then we got sloppy at the line of scrimmage," Carroll said. "It was a bunch of young guys and we just need to do better with the cadence to help them along."
